The Little Wreckers Preschool to be housed in Staples High School beginning Jan. 2 will be hosting an open house on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from noon to 4 p.m., school officials announced today.
Little Wreckers is “a state-of-the-art facility specially designed for young learners, including a beautiful outdoor play area,” the announcement from school officials said. The preschool has contracted with Earthplace to operate this program for the school system.
“While enrollment has already been offered for children of staff members, there are some remaining additional openings that we would like to offer to families in our community,” said Lisa Marriott, Westport school system spokeswoman.
She said the preschool will be open every day school is in session, plus when teachers have professional development days for a total 188 days).
Marriott added that Earthplace is currently developing “wraparound options at its main facility for those who may seek a 12-month experience for their child beyond enrollment in this program.”
She said that any preschooler who begins this year is guaranteed a seat for the following year.
“We will accept both full and part-time students, but full-time will be given priority,” she said.
Annual tuition is $12,800, $6,400 for the Jan. 2, to the end of the current school year. Part time, less than full week enrollment, will be considered, Marriott said.
