Open House at McLaury House

UPDATE and CORRECT (changes deadline for bids) There was a public open house today at the town-owned 1921-built Emily McLaury House, 99 Myrtle Ave. Darcy Sledge, a Realtor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, said there were four groups outside when the door opened at noon. The town has already received sealed bids for the house following broker open houses, and anyone may submit a bid until end of business day Monday. The town, which has owned the property since 1972 and renovated it in 2007, is selling the property to raise cash and reduce its costly maintenance real estate inventory.
