Off to Italy

It was off to his natiive Italy today for Westport state Rep. Joe Mioli (3rd from right). Mioli and a contingent of Italy-born residents of the Hartford area departed for a flight to Sicily to celebrate the 20th year anniversary of the sister city relationship between Hartford and the Sicilian town of Floridia, 40 miles from Mioli’s birthplace of Santa Teresa. The week of festivities in Sicily also honors the eighth anniversary of the “regional sister” proclamation of Sicily and the State of Connecticut.
