No Delay Sought in Record $14.6 Million Teardown

The Westport Historic District Commission Tuesday night decided not to request a delay in approval of a demolition permit for 100-102 Beachside Ave. The property sold last month for $14.6 million the most expensive residential property ever sold in Westport. (See WestportNow March 30, 2005) A representative of the owner said about 80 percent of the 1929 main house will be demolished while two pink structures at the entrance that can be seen from the street will not be altered.
