The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce today announced that after the sellout debut its “Supper & Soul” dinner and concert series, it continues on Saturday, April 28 with musician and blues performer Vanessa Collier.
The single ticket multi-faceted event entitles participants to enjoy a three-course meal at one of five downtown restaurants, then see a concert at the Seabury Center and return to any of the same restaurants for happy hour pricing for drinks. The ticket for this event will be $75 per person.
An announcement said that Collier, 27, “has become an in-demand artist, bringing her charismatic charm, passionate and fiery performances, soulful voice, searing saxophone solos, and witty songwriting to the stage.”
Over the past year, she has toured through 11 countries, alternating between tour legs in Europe as a featured artist with Ruf’s Blues Caravan and back in the United States and Canada with her five-piece band.
“We were pleased by the sellout of the first event in January, people loved it and embraced the concept” said Matthew Mandell, executive director of the Chamber.
“Vanessa is really going to wow them and again it all happens right in downtown Westport; you get to eat a great meal, be professionally entertained and can even have a night cap. This is date night in a bottle, or simply a chance to hang with friends.”
The five restaurants involved are: 190 Main, Amis Trattoria, Rothbard Ale + Larder, Spotted Horse, and Tavern on Main, each within two blocks of the Seabury Center on Church Lane.
The dinner seating will take place at 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m.. Tickets are first bought online through the Chamber, then reservations are made on a first come first served basis once again through the Chamber. Drinks and tips are not included in the price of the ticket.
The concert takes place in the intimate setting of the Seabury Center, a 190-year-old adaptively reused former church owned by Christ & Holy Trinity Church.
