Recognized for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and often daring repertory choices, the Pacifica String Quartet has achieved international recognition as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today, an announcement said.

The season continues on Jan. 11 with the arrival of Kenny Barron, who the Los Angeles Times calls “one of the top jazz pianists in the world.”

On Feb. 29, MoCA Westport welcomes Matt Haimowitz, who is described by The New York Times as a ‘“ferociously talented cellist who brings his megawatt sound and uncommon expressive gifts to a vast variety of styles.”

Spring brings with it the American String Quartet who arrive in Westport for a performance on April 4. The final concert of the season, on May 9 brings what The New York Times calls a ‘living legend’ to Westport as The Fred Hirsch Trio offers ‘a jazz for the 21st century’ for all to enjoy.

Season tickets are available and entitle members and guests to exclusive receptions with performing artists as well as preferred seating. Tickets are also available for individual performances and can be purchased in advance or at the door, as availability allows.

All concerts are on Saturdays at 8 p.m. with MoCA Members invited for a wine bar beginning at 7:30 p.m. and during intermission.
