Mimi Levitt, 97, Arts Patron

Mimi Levitt, longtime Westport resident, iconic arts patron, philanthropist, and with husband Mortimer for which Westport’s Levitt Pavilion is named, died today of natural causes at her New York home. She was 97. Known for her intelligence, grace and hands-on approach to philanthropy and activism, she believed in the arts as a source for positive social change and left a lasting legacy of generosity and service to the causes she supported.
