A Main Street property, the former home of Swezey’s Jewelers, has sold for $4.34 million.

The purchase by United Realty of Connecticut of 139-141 Main St. from D&J Main Street LLC for about $1,085 per square foot was down by almost 20 percent from a nearby sale in April 2007 (See WestportNow April 27, 2007) and almost 45 per cent from one in November 2006 (See WestportNow Nov. 2, 2006).
The two-story, 4,000-square-foot retail building was built in 1920. Swezey’s closed its doors in January 2007 after 50 years at the same location. (See WestportNow Dec. 8, 2006)
Stephen Westerberg of FirstService Williams represented United Realty of Connecticut, while Robert Lewis of Vidal/Wettenstein LLC represented the seller.
