Jay Kowalsky, co-owner of the company, said it will be moving from 1141 Post Road East in about 30 days to Honeyspot Road in Stratford near Exit 30 off I-95.

At the 5.4-acre 1141 Post Road East parcel, Boston-based LCB Senior Living plans to construct a 97,194-square-foot, three-story building with a total of 96 rooms.

The project won unanimous approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) at its May 3 meeting.

The P&Z granted special permit and site plan approval for senior services pursuant to the town’s Assisted Living, Full Care Living and/or Independent Living Facilities regulations.

The project contains assisted living facilities and memory care beds, but no independent living facilities, according to the Planning and Zoning Department.

According to Deputy Planning Director Katherine Daniel, LCB Senior Living would the first senior living facility to come to town since Westport Health Care Services and its predecessors was built in 1964 at 1 Burr Road.
