Hi, I’m Shana! Connecticut Humane Society
Shana is a senior (10 year) shepherd mix. She arrived at our shelter with her buddy, Louie, who has since been adopted. The two were surrendered when, as the result of a divorce, the husband left them abandoned in the house. The wife returned to find them alone and uncared for. Shana’s a sweet girl who’s terribly sad here. She seems to get along just fine with other dogs, but we are unaware of her cat experience. Shana is fairly gentle, but a home with older children who can respect that fact that’s she’s a senior dog would be best. She’s active and playful and would make a great companion for anyone looking! Give Shana a second chance and come meet her at the Westport branch of the CT Humane Society!
