UPDATE Hudson Valley Bank opens its new full-service Westport branch on Monday.

Located at 420 Post Road West, the building formerly housed a TD Banknorth branch. Hudson Valley Bank announced its intention to take over the spot last April. (See WestportNow April 9, 2008)
“We remain financially strong despite the turmoil in the industry today and are committed to meeting the banking needs of Fairfield County,” said James J. Landy, bank president and chief executive officer.
The branch, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., also features a 24-hour ATM and drive up window.
This is Hudson Valley Bank’s second branch in Connecticut. The bank opened its first Connecticut branch at 1055 Summer St. in Stamford in December. Additional branches are planned for Greenwich and Fairfield by the end of the year.
