Honoring Our Heritage: 6 Clover Lane

The co-owner of the house at 6 Clover Lane is the newest recipient of a Westport Historical Society (WHS) historical plaque. Bob Weingarten, WHS plaque historian, presented the plaque to LJ Wilks while she held her 3-1/2 year-old-pulp, Olivia. According to Weingarten, “Although the house was built in 1966, it provides us with a view of the traditional houses that are associated with historic Westport. Owners LJ and Lawrence have taken special care to preserve the exterior of the house to represent the typical New England saltbox style house.” On Oct. 30, LJ and Lawrence Wilks were among eight recipients of an Historic District Commission Preservation Award at a ceremony in Town Hall.
