Honoring Our Heritage: 110 Roseville Road

The owners of the house at 110 Roseville Road, near the intersection of Whitney Street, are the newest recipients of a Westport Historical Society (WHS) historical plaque. Bob Weingarten (l), WHS plaque historian, presented the plaque, signifying the Peter Lewis House, circa 1867, to owners Linda Prestegaard and Brian Crane, a volunteer on the Westport Emergency Medical Services team. According to Weingarten, Peter Lewis purchased 18 acres of land on Oct. 9, 1867 from Charles Fairchild and built a house, assessed with a value of $200, on the property the same year.
