Hole in One at Longshore

WestportNow.com Image
Westport resident Alison Tane had a hole in one on the eighth hole today during the rainy morning of round one of the Longshore Women’s Golf Association final Major, The Fall Cup. She used a seven iron from the white tees measuring 123 yards to ace the par 3. “It is one of the most exciting days of my life” she said to her competitors Yvonne Dougherty and Patty Kondub. This is Tane’s first hole in one in her 30-plus years of golf, and it also ends a three-year drought for this achievement in the LWGA. An amateur golfer’s chance of an ace is 12,500 to 1 per Golf Digest. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
