Health District Offers Flu Shots for Homebound

The Westport Weston Health District today announced it is offering flu shots for the homebound.

Homebound is defined as someone who no longer drives and is unable to obtain needed services outside of the home without experiencing undue physical or emotional hardship, an announcement said.

A nurse will visit a homebound resident to administer the flu shot as long as they have Medicare as their primary insurance, the District said.

For spouses and caregivers of the homebound, the cost of the flu shot is $35; no cash will be accepted. To make an appointment, call Loren Pace at (203) 227-9571 ext. 231.
