Going Down: Doc’s Café

The property at Westport’s 570 Riverside Ave., formerly occupied by Doc’s Café, was demolished today. The property, owned by William Gault, will be part of a Saugatuck Center development project approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission in 2008. The plan calls for a mix of retail space and residences. The commercially-zoned property built in 1954 had 1,950 square feet and was situated on a half-acre lot.
