The house at 21 Partrick Road, near Westport’s Old Hill area, was demolished today. Built in 1961, the two-story colonial had 2,356 square feet, was situated on a 1.27-acre property and changed ownership last month for $650,000. The house was severely damaged in a fire in 2010 (See WestportNow May 15, 2010). No one was home but a family dog perished in the fire. It was the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on April 2, 2012. Sad to see this whole thing happen…
But why was most every tree on the property cut down? Every time there is to be new construction the builder blows away every thing around the site.
This was a nice wooded setting, now an big open lot.
The run off which would have been held back by trees is gone and you wonder why with more situations like this people complain about flooding on their properties that never happened before.
