There was a private screening tonight at the Westport Woman’s Club of a rough cut of Westport writer, filmmaker Jarret Liotta’s “Home Movie.” Two years in the making, the feature length, 90-minute film is a dark comedy about a young woman who returns home after her father dies only to discover that it may have been her mother who killed him. Set in a town very much like Westport, its locales are familiar ones to Westporters —- Gold’s Delicatessen, Compo Beach, 323 Restaurant, Harding Funeral Home, etc. Its actors include some familiar Westport faces. Liotta says he needs to raise $17,500 in order to pay off union contracts so the film can be shown at festivals. See Kickstarter page HERE. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
