Former Met George Foster Makes Westport Scene

Former Major League star George Foster appeared at the Legends of the Game sports memorabilia store on Westport’s Post Road East this afternoon to sign autographs. A crowd of more 100 brought their memorabilia collections for Foster to sign, including John Schwartz (l) of Fairfield. Foster began his big league career with the San Francsico Giants, played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1971-81, and was with the Mets from 1982-86, including their ‘86 World Series championship.
