The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Westport and area from Friday morning through Friday evening.
It said heavy rain showers and embedded thunderstorms are forecast Friday into Friday evening. A total of 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is forecast with locally higher amounts possible.
The Weather Service also issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Westport and area until 1:45 a.m. Friday.
It said peak winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph are expected.
