Former New York Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden returned to Westport’s Legends of the Game sports memorabilia store at 1765 Post Road East today where the baseball veteran signed autographs. It was the first visit to Westport since May 2009 for Gooden, famed pitcher for the New York Mets for 11 years and two years with the New York Yankees in his 16-season career (1984-2000). Gooden said that he and his family moved to Bergen County, New Jersey in the past two years. He posed with his family—wife Monique and children Dylan, 6, and Mylan, 18 months.
