Connecticut Removes Six States from Pandemic Travel Advisory

Connecticut today removed California, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada and Ohio from its COVID-19 travel advisory, while adding back Puerto Rico.

The advisory now includes 28 states, plus Puerto Rico and Guam. Visitors from listed states must fill out a travel form upon arriving in Connecticut, then quarantine for 14 days. Gov. Ned Lamont announced Monday he would tweak the advisory to let visitors show a negative COVID-19 test in place of quarantining.

Today’s advisory update comes as Connecticut’s coronavirus numbers begin to rise but those in other states continue to decline. Westport’s case count since Sept. 1 is up 14.

California and Nevada had qualified for Connecticut’s advisory since late June, while Minnesota had been listed since late July and Hawaii since mid-August.
