Qdoba Mexican Grill will open soon at Playhouse Square, 275 Post Road East, in the space formerly occupied by Pierre Deux, the french country interior design and home furnishings store which closed three years ago. (See WestportNow Aug. 16, 2011)  Described as fast, casual, fresh Mex, Colorado-based Qdoba, founded in 1995 by Anthony Miller and Robert Hauser, has 600 locations in the United States and Canada, including Norwalk and Fairfield. The chain originally opened under the name Zuma, then changed to Z-Teca and, in 1999, adopted the name Qdoba. In 2003, the company was acquired by Jack-in-the-Box.
