Frank and Lu, a children’s fashion brand based in New York City, will open its first pop-up concept store Nov. 1 in Nash’s Plaza at 177 Post Road West, next to the Andiamo Italian Deli. Founder and CEO Michael Jarvela, a veteran menswear designer at Gap, J Crew and Club Monaco, describes the line as having a “high degree of style and comfort built in, using lighter weight fabrics that are easy for a kid to get in and out of.” Managing partner is Jonas Shapiro, a Westport native and 1990 graduate of Staples High School currently residing in Weston. A former executive at Polo Ralph Lauren and Amazon.com, Shapiro said, “The whole team has been involved in retail apparel for our entire careers.” He added, “We plan to open other pop-up shops in the Fairfield County and New York City area. The Nash’s Plaza shop will be open through February 2013.” The 900-square foot space was brokered by Hastings Real Estate. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Bob Eckman for WestportNow.com
