Comings & Goings: Michaels Opens

Michaels, North America’s largest arts and crafts specialty retailer, has opened at 1850 Post Road East in the Westport Plaza shopping center. The 17,000-square feet store will celebrate with a grand opening on Sunday with a 9:45 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony and giveaways. According to store manager Manny Gutierrez (above), “All our craft supplies stimulate creativity. We even have a classroom, open to the public, for arts creations and birthday parties.”  The space was last occupied by Walgreens, which closed in May 2015.
