Comings & Goings: Madewell Opens on Main Street

Madewell, 155 Main St., next to Oscar’s, opened today. According to a spokesman, the Westport store is its 57th in the country, having opened its first one in Dallas in 2006. She said the store caters to “fashionable, buttoned-up women in the 25-35-year-old category with jeans, cool T’s, jackets and accessories.”  A grand opening reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A division of J. Crew Group, Inc., Madewell also has stores in Greenwich, Farmington, and White Plains. The Westport location was formerly occupied by Coach. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
