Comings & Goings: Freshii to Main Street

UPDATE Freshii, a health-oriented restaurant chain in 35 cities and eight countries around the world, will open at 1 Main St., also known as 19 Post Road East, near Starbuck’s, around Sept. 20, according to owner Jonathan Blob. The shop will also be accessible from Parker Harding Plaza. Founded by Matthew Corrin, its CEO, Freshii opened its first shop in Toronto in 2005 and serves “health casual food—high quality, quick and convenient with a focus on health and wellness,” according to its website.  Blob, a resident of Greenwich who, as a hedge fund manager invested and performed analysis on the food service market, owns the Freshii franchise rights in Fairfield and Westchester counties where he plans to open 7-10 Freshii shops.
