The Fovama Oriental Rugs store, 1385 Post Road East, next to Balducci’s, closes today after a 20-year presence in Westport, according to owner Javad Ahmadi, 54. He said he will become a full time university student in the fall, pursuing a degree in psychology. Fovama opened in 1993 in the shopping strip anchored by Pier One and in 1997 moved to its current location. Taking note of his many signs placed around Westport in recent days in violation of zoning regulations, he said in an email to WestportNow: “Please accept my apology for our lack of grace in exiting with signs placed all around town.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

But will Mr. Ahmadi be picking up his signs now that he is closed?
He should probably be charged with 3 or 4 counts or reckless sign placement and fined thousands! Maybe the Westport PD should throw him in jail for a few days too. Based on the recent BB Gun incident over on Bayberry I’m sure they could fine a few good reasons to to cuff him.
