Comings & Goings: Chic Jolie Moves to Fairfield

The women’s apparel store, Chic Jolie, 24 Taylor Place, will close on April 30 and reopen on May 1 at its new location, 1217 Post Road, Fairfield in the Brick Walk section, according to owner and Fairfield resident, Alla Ionescu (above). Chic Jolie opened on Taylor Place in August, 2012 in the former location of the Jacadi children’s clothing store, also owned by Ionescu, that closed after eight years. “We’ve been here through two hurricanes and with the changing climate we cannot take another risk on being flooded again,” she said. “We’ve rebuilt it twice. We’re relocating, not closing.
