Bassett Furniture, the home furnishings store, will open at 1100 Post Road East on Dec. 10, according to a worker on site (see WestportNow Sept. 12, 2013). Located in the L-shaped strip mall anchored by Barnes & Noble, Bassett, founded in 1902 in Bassett, Va., has approximately 100 locations in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Bassett expanded the space formerly occupied by Pompanoosuc Mills for 10 years before relocating to a smaller space at 222 Post Road West. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
