Comings & Goings: Another Mexican Restaurant

Westport is getting another Mexican restaurant, this one named Rio Bravo at 1460 Post Road East. It opens in October, according to manager Everado Lopez, who describes the menu as “gourmet Mexican.”  This is the third location for Rio Bravo, owned by Edgar Brambila, who opened his first Rio Bravo in Fairfield in October 2013 and the second seven months ago in Larchmont, N.Y. Lopez said the similarity of the Rio Bravo name with its restaurant neighbor Bravo Pizzeria is a mere coincidence. Other recent Mexican restaurant openings on Post Road East include Chipolte, 376 Post Road East, and Qdoba, 275 Post Road East. They join the long-established Border Grill, 1550 Post Road East. Elsewhere in town, Mexican eateries include Viva Zapata, Villa del Sol, Bartaco, Cuatro Hermanos, and Señor Salsa. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
