Westport’s Compo Acres shopping center will soon see some changes. Trader Joe’s is expanding into space now occupied by Silver of Westport Luggage and Gifts, which, after 19 years, is moving several doors away to space it previously occupied for 31 years. Stephen Silver said the move – planned to be done by Oct. 31 – came about when the landlord said Trade Joe’s was interested in expanding. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

My heart stopped when I first read the headline, really thankful both are staying!
I guess that means Steve has to clean out his desk 🙂
Not at all. He’ll just take the desk whole and put it in a new office. Easy.
I sincerely hope that Steve and Sue make a bundle from Trader Joe’s. And thankfully we are not losing another privately owned business nor gaining another bank.
Silver’s is a great store with knowledgable and properly trained salespeople as well as an outstanding selection of quality merchandise. It’s always a pleasure to shop there.
Best of everything in the new/old location.
