Comings and Goings: Roots Salon Opens at Sconset

Roots Salon has opened at Westport’s 8 Sconset Square (also referred to as 15 Myrtle Ave.), next to the Blue Lemon restaurant. Owner Melissa Man, a Newtown resident, said she has worked in Westport as a hair stylist for the past 19 years and is relocating her shop from 231 Post Road West where her business operated on the second floor of Greg and Tony’s Hair Salon. “This is a better location for my clients, I will have my own identity here and there’s better parking,” she said.
