UPDATE The Pho Mekong Thai-Vietnamese Noodle House and Restaurant, 1849 Post Road East, near the Fairfield line, has closed and may be replaced by the Shake Shack, described on its website as a “modern day ‘roadside’ burger stand.” Shake Shack executives have requested to go before the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission Thursday night for a preliminary application hearing to explain their plans for the site. Serving hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and milkshakes, Shake Shack has six locations, five in New York and one in Miami. The first Shake Shack opened in July 2004 in New York City’s Madison Square Park. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

Shake Shack????!!!!
Please let it be so…..
Danny Meyer comes to Westport?
Hopefully this is just the start of a string of DM resturants to the area.
Blue Smoke next please!
I miss Beefsteak Charley’s.
Shake Shack? Hmmmm, from where did this piece of information come?
You know it’s really not nice to tease.

I agree, Nick and this is why I emailed them and asked if they’d clarify this info. It’s either a Halloween prank-trick or treat, or our collective taste buds will be satisfied. Either they’ll respond, or we’ll wait to find out.
Naturally, if I hear, I’ll let you know.
Jean Marie, Maybe it will make them sit and take notice. The area would be a great location for a medley of Danny’s restaurants.
