Comings and Goings: Legends of the Game Returns

The sports memorabilia shop Legends of the Game will reopen at 1765 Post Road East, across from Westport’s Stop & Shop later this month, according to owner Michael Riccio. The Legends of the Game store at 381 Post Road East in the Compo Shopping Center closed in June 2010. (See WestportNow May 19, 2010) “The rent was just too high and we just had to close, but we found a good location in Westport with more reasonable rent even though we’ll have a little less space,” Riccio said. The new store will continue to feature sports celebrities for photos and autographs. A growing segment of the business is conducting sports memorabilia silent auctions for many organizations.  “We like Westport and the people here,” Riccio said. “We’re happy to be back.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
