Comings and Goings: Douglas Cosmetics Closes

Some shoppers on Westport’s Main Street were startled today to find that after a few weeks of rumors and denials, the Douglas Cosmetics store at 57 Main St. has indeed closed its doors. A notice of explanation (inset) was posted on the locked front door. One customer approached the door, glanced at the sign and commented that she had hoped that at least they would have had a good sale before closing.
