Following an investigation, the state’s attorney agreed to not pursue Szabo’s case due to her clean record. If she stays out of trouble, her case will be dismissed.
According to news reports, Szabo, 49, allegedly slapped a 71-year-old man in a dispute over a parking space.
Szabo has been principal of CMS since 2004. She has been working at Bedford as a “principal on special assignment,” while CMS is undergoing renovations.
Prior to Westport, she was principal for five years at Griswold Elementary School.
