Chef Competition Winner

The chef competition series at the Westport Farmers Market culminated today with a first place award to Jeff Taibe (above) of Bethel’s Taproot. The other finalist was Anthony Rinaldi of Westport’s Kawa Ni. Taibe’s culinary offering: dandelion and burnt apple salad, grilled hen of the wood mushrooms, pickled green tomatoes, fermented husk cherry vinaigrette, maple gastrique, ranch.
