Watson is our 70-pound resident lap dog.  He has been described as “delicious” by one of our volunteers.  He is a swell nearly-one-year-old Staffordshire mix.  He gets along well with other dogs, loves people and is one big cuddle.

Watson will be neutered and brought up-to-date on vaccinations courtesy of a WASA volunteer.  He’s a very handsome and lovable boy.

Shadow Has a New Home

Shadow
Shadow. Westport Animal Control

Shadow is a friendly little fellow and a new resident of Westport Animal Control.  He is a gray poodle mix of approximately 7 years old.  Shadow gets along well with other dogs, is housebroken and walks very well on a leash.  He is getting into the routine of animal control and will be receiving a thorough exam in the upcoming week courtesy of WASA.  He loves attention, going for walks, sitting and giving paw for treats but isn’t a big fan of going back into his kennel.  He needs to be placed in an adult home or one with older children.  To meet Shadow, please call Westport Animal Control at 203-341-5076 or send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for additional information.

Pink Has Her Quiet Home

Pink
Pink. Connecticut Humane Society

Pink is a sweet girl in search of a new home. Although very shy at first, Pink warms up in a calm, quiet environment. She is searching for a home with teens and adults who will let her adjust to her new home in her own time and will appreciate all the progress she makes. Pink loves to be pet inside her condo, but she gets nervous when she comes out, so a new family should plan to keep Pink indoors so she doesn’t frighten and run away.  Come and meet her at the Westport branch of the Connecticut Humane Society

Makua Has A Forever Family

Makua
Makua. Connecticut Humane Society

I’m Makua which in Hawaiian means “mature”, which is kind of funny, because I certainly act like a much bigger dog in a little body! “Mature” isn’t exactly what I would use to describe myself. If I could I’d play with toys and get belly rubs on your lap all day long! Honestly, I’m just a fun kid looking for my forever family and I just can’t wait to meet you! Since I can be a little rambunctious, I would really like a family with kids over the age of 10. But I don’t like cats! I would LOVE a home without them! If you think I’m as cool as all of my friends here at the shelter, then come meet me at the Westport branch of the Connecticut Humane Society!

Hannah Has A Home

Hannah
Hannah. Connecticut Humane Society

Hannah’s an adorable little lab mix who came to CHS from the south. Yep, she’s a southern belle! Although she puts on a shy, demure attitude at first meeting, show her some love and she’ll warm right up. Hannah would love to live in a home with older children (8+) and other dogs but she’d prefer a cat-free home. Hannah loves to play so an active family that will take her hiking and out to the family soccer games would be ideal. If you think Hannah could be the one for you, come to meet her today at the Westport branch of the Connecticut Humane Society!

Blacky Has His Quiet Home

Blacky
Blacky. Connecticut Humane Society

Blacky is a 9 year old black and white tuxedo cat who loves nothing more then to snuggle, and take long naps in the sun. Because Blacky is one of our senior residents he is available for adoption at a discounted rate through our senior cat program. He is looking for a home that will be quiet, (I told you he likes to nap), and loving and cannot wait to become your best friend.  Meet Blacky at the Westport branch of the Connecticut Humane Society.

Buddy Allen Has A Forever Family

BuddyAllen
Buddy Allen. Connecticut Humane Society

Meet our little Buddy Allen! He is a funny little guy who wants nothing more than your attention! And snacks if he can convince you with his smile to hand them over. Buddy can get along with cats so long as the cats are respectful of dogs. A family with children 8 years old and up would be ideal for buddy as children any younger may not know how to respect his space and scare him. If you think that Buddy Allen is the cutest little man you have ever seen, come down to the Connecticut Humane Society to meet him today!
