Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission.  According to town records, the owner said the house was a victim of Storm Sandy which made it uninhabitable. “Water was 4 feet deep in the front so the cellar and oil furnace were flooded as well as over 2 feet of water in the living area,” the owner said.
