Break-In is Close Shave at New Barber, Delays Opening

Saturday’s grand opening of Kennedy’s All-American Barber Club in Westport’s Playhouse Square has been postponed until Monday because of a break-in by smash and grab thief or thieves on Wednesday night. Jarrod Manfro, co-owner and partner in the business, said the culprits opened the cash register with a key on the counter next to the register, but there was no money inside. He said the front door appeared to have been smashed by a hammer. The Ridgefield resident also owns Kennedy’s in Ridgefield, Darien, Stamford and Greenwich.
