The Westport Board of Finance tonight continued its informal budget workshops, including meeting with the heads of the town’s emergency services. Police Chief Foti Koskinas (r) outlined a number of money-saving measures instituted, inccluding restructuring police administration and conducting an overtime audit. He also lamented that despite frequent reminders, residents continue to leave their cars unlocked, resulting in increased vehicle thefts.
