Another State Title for Westport Softballers

The Westport U10 Little League softball team today clinched its second consecutive state title with a 4-0 win over Seymourl at Unity Park in Trumbull. Morgan Carnahan went the distance, helped by a spectacular catch by outfielder Olivia Stubbs and third inning hits from Grace Alfero – a triple – as well as Stubbs, Kate McDonald, and herself. The U10 team joined the U11 club as state champions this summer. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
