All Gone: 128 Beachside Ave.

WestportNow.com Image
The house at 128 Beachside Ave., Westport’s “Gold Coast,” was demolished. The 1930s almost 10,000-square foot home included 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and was built by H. Smith Richardson, a Richardson-Vicks pharmaceutical company scion. The $20 million sale in October of three adjoining parcels on almost seven acres overlooking Long Island Sound was Westport’s second largest residential real estate transaction. (See WestportNow Oct. 30, 2010).  It was the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on Dec. 15, 2010. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
