The building at 44 Main St. has changed hands for $22.5 million. The 22,873-square feet, three-story building, built in 1909 on a .23-acre property is the home of Banana Republic on the first floor and The Nail Spa on the second floor. The buyer is an affiliate of Westport-based Paragon realty Group in a partnership with Clarion Partners. The seller was 44 Main Street, Inc. Franco Fellah of the HK Group, the broker involved in the transaction, said, “There’s buying frenzy in Westport. All Westport properties represent a strong investment market.” The Klein family owned the building for decades and operated their retail store on two floors for many years.
