Built in 1961, the one-story contemporary had 4,118 square feet, was situated on a 7.27-acre property that overlooks Southport Beach and changed ownership in October 2011 at $4.1 million. Built in 1919, the 1 1/2-story cape has 1,118 square feet, is situated on a .57-acre property and changed ownership in October, 2011 at $409,000.  Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. A demolition permit has been issued to the owners of 1 Red Coat Road, off Exit 41 of the Merritt Parkway. According to officials, the demolition will occur during next week. The colonial-style, 1900-home is located on a one-acre property and changed hands in March 2007 for $585,000. A demolition permit had been applied for more than four years ago when it was the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on Oct. 18, 2007.
