An application for a permit to demolish the office annex structure of the historic mill at 41 Richmondville Ave.  is in process. The office annex, (see reddish structure in photo foreground) built in the 1950s, has 13,944 square feet and is a component of the former mill, which changed ownership in November, 2019 for $3.8 million. Because the annex was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. As announced in August, the mill is being converted into 32 one- to three-bedroom, luxury condominium units. Brooks Brothers, 136 Main St., one of many Westport businesses that closed as a COVID-19 preventative measure, has reopened for the first time since its March 13 closure.
