More Students in Classrooms Than Expected
The Westport School District has 137 more students in its classrooms this fall than originally expected, according to a school report.
The Board of Education will discuss an enrollment report during its meeting at 8 p.m. Monday in Bedford Middle School’s cafeteria.
In a memo to the school board, Schools Superintendent Elliott Landon reports there are 60 more students than expected in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
There are 54 more students at the two middle schools and 23 more at Staples High School, according to his letter.
