The National Weather Service in Upton, N.Y. has issued a Special Weather Statement as of 6:43 a.m.
Isolated pockets of freezing rain possible into the morning commute.
While most of interior portions of the lower Hudson Valley, Fairfield County, and the remainder of coastal Connecticut have had the temperature rise above freezing, there are still a few isolated areas with temperatures at or just below the freezing mark.
As a result there will be patches of freezing rain in this area over the next hour or so until temperatures rise above freezing.
