Robotics Fans

Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe is pictured today with Ridgefield residents Pamela and Evan Barnet, mentors of Greens Farms Academy’s Dragonoids Robotics team, whose robot is called Vandal IV, at the annual FIRST Robotics Challenge held at Greens Farms Academy’s Coyle Gymnasium. The GFA Dragonoids team robotic, “Vandal IV,” is named after the Barnets’ son, Van, GFA class of 2013, who founded the GFA Robotics team seven years ago when he was a sophomore.  Currently Van is a junior at Georgia Tech majoring in aerospace engineering.
